2 Peter 3:10-18 MWT . . .The day of יהוה will come like a thief. On that day the previous heavens will pass away with a roaring sound. Everything that makes up the universe Satan has influenced will burn and be destroyed. (1 John 5:19-21) The earth and everything that people have done on it will be exposed. (11) The old system of things will be destroyed in this way. So think of the kind of holy and godly lives you should live (12) as you look forward to the day of יהוה and eagerly wait for it to come. When that day comes, heaven will be on fire and will be destroyed. Everything that makes up the universe will burn and melt. (13) But we look forward to what God has promised-a new heaven and a new earth-a place where everything that has God's approval lives. (Rev 21:1-4) (14) Therefore, dear friends, with this to look forward to, make every effort to have him find you at peace, without spiritual stains or blemishes. (15) Think of our Lord's patience as an opportunity for us to be saved. This is what our dear brother Paul wrote to you about, using the wisdom God gave him. (16) He talks about this subject in all his letters. Some things in his letters are hard to understand. Ignorant people and people who aren't sure of what they believe distort what Paul says in his letters the same way they distort the rest of the Scriptures. These people will be destroyed. (17) Dear friends, you already know these things. So be on your guard not to be carried away by the deception of people who have no principles and don't know Christ. Then you won't fall from your firm hope. (18) But grow in the good will and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Glory belongs to him now and for that eternal day! Amen.
2 Peter 3:10-18 GNB . . .But the Day of the Lord (יהוה) will come like a thief. On that Day the heavens will disappear with a shrill noise, the heavenly bodies will burn up and be destroyed, (1 John 5:19-21) and the earth with everything in it will vanish. (11) Since all these things will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people should you be? Your lives should be holy and dedicated to God, (12) as you wait for the Day of God and do your best to make it come soon---the Day when the heavens will burn up and be destroyed, and the heavenly bodies will be melted by the heat. (13) But we wait for what God has promised: new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness will be at home. (Rev 21:1-4) (14) And so, my friends, as you wait for that Day, do your best to be pure and faultless in God's sight and to be at peace with him. (15) Look on our Lord's patience as the opportunity he is giving you to be saved, just as our dear friend Paul wrote to you, using the wisdom that God gave him. (16) This is what he says in all his letters when he writes on the subject. There are some difficult things in his letters which ignorant and unstable people explain falsely, as they do with other passages of the Scriptures. So they bring on their own destruction. (17) But you, my friends, already know this. Be on your guard, then, so that you will not be led away by the errors of lawless people and fall from your safe position. (18) But continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory, now and forever! Amen.
2 Peter 3:10-18 NWT . . .Yet Jehovah's (יהוה's) day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, (1 John 5:19-21) and earth and the works in it will be discovered. 11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought YOU to be in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion, 12 awaiting and keeping close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah, through which [the] heavens being on fire will be dissolved and [the] elements being intensely hot will melt! 13 But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell. (Rev 21:1-4) 14 Hence, beloved ones, since YOU are awaiting these things, do YOUR utmost to be found finally by him spotless and unblemished and in peace. 15 Furthermore, consider the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul according to the wisdom given him also wrote YOU, 16 speaking about these things as he does also in all [his] letters. In them, however, are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unsteady are twisting, as [they do] also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. 17 YOU, therefore, beloved ones, having this advance knowledge, be on YOUR guard that YOU may not be led away with them by the error of the law-defying people and fall from YOUR own steadfastness. 18 No, but go on growing in the undeserved kindness and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him [be] the glory both now and to the day of eternity.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
